Raana Fryer Azad is an experienced professional with over 25 years in laboratory research, 10 years in clinical research, and 10 years in the mental and behavioral health industries. One of Raana’s milestone accomplishments is that she discovered the first Antisense Molecule that became a drug in humans. In early 2024, she took over the management of Exact Clinical Research, focusing on the company’s continued growth by bringing in new partners and expanding the team of seasoned clinical development professionals.

Raana previously ran her own consulting firm, Magellan Consulting, where she provided clinical operations and QA services to several start-up companies. She has extensive clinical trial expertise, having managed and monitored Phase I-III trials across oncology, immunology, and infectious diseases. Raana has overseen all aspects of trial operations, from protocol development and site management to regulatory compliance and quality assurance, contributing to successful global programs, including those at Ionis Pharmaceuticals.

Raana holds a BA in Pre-Med from the University of Wyoming, an MS in Immunology from the University of New Mexico, and has pursued advanced studies in medical sciences.
